Well, when they said it was going to rain, they really meant RAIN. Like, Noah and his Ark rain.
Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea for a visit to Newtown today for coffees and
bookstores and other nice Sunday things. And it was! Until the rain...but we managed to ensconce ourselves into a cosy little cafe, so we were fine. There was a little bit of running and squealing, but that is not unusual for me!
I bought myself some treats today, because I have been so good all week and yesterday was spent in the depths of Dewey. We went to
Gould's Book Arcade (via the brand spanking new
Mag Nation store), where I got a Sookie Stackhouse book for $7.95 which was not what I was looking for, but still a nice surprise!

We then went to Pentimento, which is an absolutely delightful stationery/book/home shop. I could have spent A LOT of money there, so I was quite restrained. I did buy two things though that I couldn't leave the shop without.

I was also tempted by this new book from
Penguin:
I'm an absolute sucker for felt creations! But as I said, I exercised restraint...
We were also going to duck over to Waterloo to visit some friends selling at the
PYD Market, but the aforementioned torrential downpour soon put a stop to that!
